

Born on September 25, 1943, in Rockford, Illinois, Carol was the beloved daughter of Eugene W Kurz and Ruth E Kurz. She lived a life marked by determination, kindness, and a genuine appreciation for the people and passions that brought her joy.
Carol was a successful and respected businesswoman who owned and operated a permanent staffing firm in Chicago for many years. Through her leadership, professionalism, and strong work ethic, she helped countless individuals find career opportunities and achieve their professional goals. Her intelligence, entrepreneurial spirit, and dedication earned the admiration of colleagues, clients, and friends alike.
Outside of her professional accomplishments, Carol found great happiness in life's simple pleasures. She loved animals, enjoyed knitting, spending time on the golf course, getting lost in a good book, and sharing laughter and memories with her family and close friends. Those who knew Carol will remember her for her quick wit, independence, generosity, and the genuine care she showed to those around her.
Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Shorr, who passed away in 2021.
She is survived by her brother, Richard E. Kurz (Felicia); her stepchildren, Karen Shorr and Scott Shorr; and her nieces, Julie K. Caldwell, Rebecca A. Estepp, and Kelsey E. Kurz, along with many dear friends and extended family members who will miss her greatly.
Carol's memory will live on through the lives she touched, the friendships she cherished, and the love she shared with those fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, compassion, and perseverance that will not be forgotten.
