We are heartbroken to say that Christina Claire Thomas left this world too soon on July 21, 2020 at age 31. While we were not done having Christina here on earth with us, and are reeling that she left us, God had other plans and brought her home.
Christina was born in Tijuana, Mexico and lived her first four years in Yorba Linda, California. She grew up in Naples, Florida where she went to elementary and junior high school. Christina then joined the boarding school family at Culver Academy in Culver, Indiana where she completed high school. Some of her best friends are still from the special time she spent at Culver. At the University of Central Florida, Christina pursued a degree in Advertising and Communication. Her determination and utter refusal to take no for an answer then took her to New York and Los Angeles where she worked in many roles in the entertainment industry. Christina’s health dictated that she had to return to Naples for surgery in 2016. Since that time, her health journey has been challenging for her and we sorrowfully were unable to find all of the answers for her struggle.
Christina is survived by her mother, Carol (George) Keys; father, William Thomas; siblings, Anna Thomas, Will Thomas, and step-sisters, Nicole Smith (Glenn) and Morgan Keys. Her step-brother, Jared Keys pre-deceased her last year. Christina is also survived by her maternal Grandmother Joy, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and others who will mourn her loss.
She would want us to know that her sister, Anna, was there for her in ways the rest of us may not fully understand. Anna and Christina had a unique bond where they loved hard and argued hard - polar opposites who supported each other in their own special way. Christina was in love with Anna’s children Landon and Gwen. Being their “Tia” was the role she cherished most ever since they were born.
Christina really lived her life. She travelled the world, she experienced things most of us only get to imagine. She was a powerful force who had great expectations of herself and of those she knew. “Tina” always wanted things to be perfect. She was smart and funny. She showed great attention to detail in the workplace and demanded the same from others. Her love of classic Chanel, her leopard prints, and pearl earrings will always be some of what we think of when we think of Christina’s style. Oh…. and the shoes!!! She so loved the finer things in life!
She has often been called a soul sister by her friends. Many have thanked her for encouraging them to be their best and to always take that leap of faith to move forward in life. Her friends from all over the country say many of their favorite memories have been made with her.
Christina was so loved. She will be very deeply missed….until we meet again.
A Christian Celebration of Christina’s life are private; however it will be streamed on Hodges Facebook page on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at 12:00 p.m.
