Dorothy "Dot" Payne

Dot was born in Campbellsville, KY to Jack and Mary (McFarland) Follis on October 20, 1923. She went to school in Campbellsville, KY. Dot married Edward E. Payne on June 15, 1941 in Campbellsville, KY. She worked as a bookkeeper for Sealtest Credit Union in Nashville, TN for 20 years. She was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church in Campbellsville, KY.

Dot is preceded in death by her husband, Edward E. Payne; parents, Jack and Mary Follis; brother, William E. Follis; and nephew, Greg Vaughn.

Dot is survived by one nephew, Chuck (Karen) Vaughn – Ft. Pierce, FL; and a host of many friends in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Florida. Special friends and guardian angels for many years were Nina (Sonny) Mason, Tana Cooke, Cindy Chandler, and Barbra Carraway.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 immediately following services. Arrangements are by Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens.
