Frank Guido

Frank was born on February 17, 1932, in Amantea, Italy, to Arturo Guido and Giuseppina Bastone. He grew up in Amantea, a beautiful seaside town that helped shape his lifelong love of the beach and the water. He later proudly served in the Italian Army.

Frank married the love of his life, Gina, in Pompeii, Italy, beginning a love story that would become one of the greatest examples he could ever leave his family.

Frank and Gina built a beautiful life together, rooted in love, devotion, hard work, family, and their Italian heritage. They worked side by side in their family-owned business in New York, NY where Frank put his extraordinary skill as a tailor to work. He was a dedicated and hardworking man who took great pride in what he did and in providing for the family he loved so deeply.

Frank’s greatest accomplishment was never something he built with his hands. It was the family and life he built with Gina. Their love was something everyone around them could see. Even after a lifetime together, Frank would still look at Gina with love in his eyes. He wanted to be beside her, hold her hand, kiss her—even until the very end of his life. Their love endured through the years, and the devotion they shared will forever remain an example to their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of what it means to truly love someone for a lifetime.

He loved the beach, fishing, gardening, building things, fixing things and working with his hands. There seemed to be very little he couldn’t figure out how to build, repair, fasten or somehow make work. Frank loved good food and believed it was meant to be enjoyed, preferably surrounded by the people he loved and storytelling.

Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Gina Guido; his sons, Arturo Guido and his wife Valerie, and John Guido and his wife Rosanne; his sister, Antonietta, his grandchildren, Frank Guido and his wife Courtney, Tiffany Guido, Joanna, Nicholas and his wife Julia, and Augustus; and his seven great-grandchildren, Sofia, Giovanni, Arabella, Dominic, Adeena, Santino, and Lincoln.

To them, and to every generation of Frank’s family, he leaves behind far more than memories. He leaves traditions, stories, lessons, laughter and an example of what it means to work hard, love deeply, and remain devoted to the people who matter most. He was much more than a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a teacher, a storyteller, a craftsman, a source of laughter, a steady presence, and the center of countless memories that will continue to be told for generations.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026, with the Gathering beginning at 9:00 AM followed by a Service at 10:00 AM at Hodges Funeral Home (525 111th Avenue N, Naples, FL 34108).

The Guido family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Avow Hospice and to Frank’s caregivers, Camille Loge, Adriana and Flor, for the kindness, compassion, dignity and care they provided to Frank during the later part of his life.

In lieu of flowers or other contributions, the family asks that those wishing to honor Frank’s memory consider having a Catholic Mass dedicated in the name of Frank Guido.

Frank’s life was long and full, but for those who loved him, no amount of time could ever have been enough. He will be deeply missed, endlessly remembered, and forever loved. Rest peacefully, Papa. You will always be our hero.
