Captain Lawrence E. MacIntosh

Larry was born on March 13, 1950, in Somerville, Massachusetts. He later moved to Mansfield before making Gloucester his home, where he spent many years raising his family and creating countless memories. Later in life, Larry and his family moved to Bonita Springs, Florida.

Larry was a man who loved life, his family, and making memories. He had a true love for boating and motorcycles, two of the things that brought him great joy throughout his life. Whether he was out on the water, riding his motorcycle, or simply spending time with the people he loved, Larry had a way of enjoying the moment.

He was also known for his wonderful sense of humor. Larry was always joking around and could bring laughter into a room with his stories, his personality, and his unmistakable way of looking at life. His family will always remember his ability to make people laugh and the many stories that will continue to be told for years to come.

One of Larry’s greatest gifts to his family was the countless memories he captured on video. He was truly the family cameraman. He made sure to record birthdays, holidays, vacations, family gatherings, and all the little moments that might otherwise have been forgotten. Because of him, his family has a treasured collection of memories that can be watched and shared for generations to come.

Above all, Larry loved his family. He cherished the time spent together and the experiences they shared. He was devoted to his wife, Rose Ann, and together they shared 53 wonderful years of marriage. Their life together was filled with family, laughter, adventures, and countless memories.

As Larry’s Alzheimer’s progressed, his family surrounded him with love and care. Roberto was an important part of that care, giving his time, compassion, and support to Larry during his most difficult days.

Although Alzheimer’s disease slowly took away so much from him, it could never take away the love his family had for him or the memories they created together.

Larry is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Rose Ann (Sanfilippo) MacIntosh; his son, Accursio “Gus” Lawrence MacIntosh, and his fiancé, Roberto; his brother, Danny MacIntosh, and sister, Linda Silva; and his sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Carlo Moceri.

He also leaves behind his niece, Grace Scola, and her husband, Peter; his nephew, Joseph Moceri, and his wife, Amy; and his great-niece and great-nephews, Isabella Moceri, Lawrence Scola, Sebastian Moceri, and Peter Scola.

Larry was predeceased by his parents, Clement and Loraine “Lolly” MacIntosh; his brother, Clement “Scott” MacIntosh; and his parents-in-law, Accursio “Gus” and Josephine Sanfilippo.

Larry leaves behind a family who will miss his laughter, his jokes, his stories, and his presence more than words can express. His memory will live on through the countless videos he recorded, the stories his family will continue to tell, and the love he gave so freely.

We will miss you, Dad. We are grateful for every laugh, every adventure, every story, and every memory. You may be gone, but you will always be a part of our family and forever in our hearts.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 625 111th Ave N, Naples, FL 34108, on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
