Nicholas Scott Straub, 29 of Naples, Florida, passed away suddenly on November 2nd, 2019. Nick was a loving son, an amazing brother and a caring friend to all who knew him. He was a lifelong resident of Naples, Florida and loved his hometown. Nick cared for everyone and always lent a helping hand to his friends as well as he showed compassion to strangers when they were in need. Nick loved spending time with his family, going to movies, reading books, video games, drawing, dancing and singing. His friends all remember his sweet nature and the way he made them laugh. He cared for his Grandmother, Nana, in her elderly age and held her hand while she passed away in hospice. Nick was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone.

His passion for animals was like no other, he rescued his cat, Pretty Kitty Cat, from being a stray and cared for his Mother’s dog, Ohana, as if she was his own. Nicholas was a great athlete and spent his childhood on championship football teams while also excelling in basketball and track.

Nick is survived by his mother Susan Straub of Naples, his father Brian Straub of Naples, his brother Zachary Straub and his fiancée Yasmin Pluss, of Naples. He is also survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins throughout the US who all loved him dearly and an infinite number of friends with whom he shared so much happiness, laughter and memories. We will all miss his laugh, smile, silly songs, loving nature and caring heart. Although we will carry on without him and our world will never be the same, Nick will never be forgotten as he will live on in our hearts forever.

Our deepest condolences, love and prayers surround you all. Our fondest memories of Nick was his caring nature, his warm hugs and the love he showed his family. We loved watching him play football and dinners out with his grandmother. He always made sure she was comfortable and had whatever she needed. Thank you Nick ! You are truly missed. May God Bless you with His Love and comfort your loved ones.

Nick was one of the happiest kids I’ve ever known. He and Martin were of the underclassman and always came to our lunch table, just about daily, to talk about their day... or this girl or that teach or coach... but he ALWAYS had a smile on his face. And boy was he a flirt!! He always knew how to make a girl feel better on the day she wasn’t feeling her best. This world is a darker place without you, Nick.

Zach, I’m so sorry you have to go through this. Just know your brother changed lives and made a difference.

Brian and Susan, there aren’t words that will will make this easier or acceptable. Just know you did such an amazing job raising a son that made people feel better about life and brought happiness to them. There’s no more pain, no more struggle, no more worry for Nick. Nothing but love and grace. Thank you for blessing us all with his life and all that he brought to if. Xoxoxo

11-6-2019 Precious Nickie my little cousin, I remember your exuberance when I saw you when you met your cousin Billy for the first time. You guys hit it right off and I loved you for that. I remember how you welcomed us into your home and asked us if we wanted a drink because we'd just gotten off of the plane not long before. I remember you and Zacky on your wooden bunkbeds, and your sports posters and your zeal for life. I am so sad we had to part like this; for now but I love you. I love your Dad and brother and your Mom is so sweet and fun. Love always, precious...
