

Raymond E. Cole of Naples, Florida passed away on June 1, 2016. Formerly of Harlan and Louisville, Kentucky, Raymond and his wife, Reba were seasonal residents of Naples for 28 years. Raymond was born February 16, 1925 in Harlan, Kentucky, the son of Charles F. Cole and Elsie Cole. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Upon returning to Kentucky from his WWII assignment, Raymond attended Western Kentucky University. He returned to Harlan, KY where he created a successful career as a C.P.A. He also had various positions in the community including president of Harlan Community Television, board member of the Harlan National Bank and was the County Treasurer for 25 years.
Raymond is survived by his daughter, Kaye Hinson and her husband, Paul Hinson of Naples, FL, children William P. Hinson and James D. Hinson. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 69 years, Reba K. Fee Cole. Also survived is his sister, Maxine Jarvis of Lexington, KY and brother, Roy Cole of Louisville, KY and numerous nieces and nephews. Raymond had many friends in Harlan, Louisville and Naples who will remember his kind nature and generous heart.
