Robert "Bob" Napier Flinn

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many, Robert “Bob” Flinn, 90, of Naples, Florida, passed away peacefully Monday, July 6, 2026, at his residence. He was a resident of Naples for 50 years (since 1976), and a businessman and community activist for many years. Bob was born on January 2, 1936, in Aspinwall, Pennsylvania near Pittsburgh. He graduated from Northwestern University with a bachelor’s degree in retailing and later worked in the moving and storage business. Bob was a veteran who served three years in the United States Navy. He married Marcia B. Meseke on June 24, 1961.

Bob established two Naples family businesses (Robert Flinn Moving and Storage in 1976 and Robert Flinn Records Center in 1990) with his wife. He was a board member of the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce, affiliated with the organization for many years in the 1980s and 1990s, and served in various roles and capacities.

Bob was also an avid fan of the arts, and a supporter of the Naples Philharmonic (Artis – Naples) and other arts and charity organizations. His love of art led him to support his wife’s partnership in a gallery – Art in Bloom – in the late 1980s in downtown Naples. Bob also enjoyed listening to classic jazz and country music, traveling, and automobiles. He also participated in auto racing events as an amateur sports car driver in the 1960s and 1980s.

Bob is survived by his four sons (Peter, Matthew, Andrew, and Jeremy), grand-daughter (Sierra), nephew (David), and two nieces (Lisa and Joanna).
