He was also preceded in death by sister-in-law Jeanne and husband Bob Wruble, as well as brother-in-law Michael Bosler.
Tom was born August 11, 1929 in Decatur IN, to Francis and Mary Costello. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame in 1951, Tom served in the Army both stateside and in Europe. Tom and Emily married in 1955 in Fort Wayne, IN and subsequently moved to New Jersey and Michigan before retiring in Naples.
Tom’s life-long career in advertising included pharmaceutical, agricultural, automotive, and manufacturing clients. In 1982, he formed his own company, TEC Associates—a successful, full-service agency specializing in business advertising.
After retiring to Naples in 1994, he continued to help others as a mentor in the SCORE association.
Tom was a passionate fan of his alma mater. He enjoyed sports, reading, travel, history, music and continually learning about everything possible.
He will be remembered for his enduring faith, unfailing work ethic, quick wit, and honest, caring advice. He lived a full life yet appreciated the simple things, like a good glass of wine or Emily’s homemade desserts. Tom and Emily’s time in Naples was brightened by the many friends and memories they made.
The family would like to thank Diana and Sebastian Danna for their friendship and support of Tom.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 1:30 PM EST at St. Agnes Catholic Church (7775 Vanderbilt Beach Road, Naples, FL 34120) and will be streamed (see link below).
