Adella Florence DeRoy Hill

She was born January 31, 1926, in Rochester, New Hampshire to the late Richard and Florence DeRoy. She married Rev. Anson Hill on February 28, 1945. Adella was a missionary in Peru and South America for 23 years. She was also a caregiver and manager at a Daycare facility. She loved crafts and cross-stitch.

She was survived by her two sons, David Hill and John (Karen) Hill; two daughters, Ruth Ann (Bob) Ford and Mary Kay Karnes; a brother John DeRoy; seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Adella was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Anson Hill, her parents and brother Guy DeRoy.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 8, 2013 at the Church of the Brethren, Defiance, Ohio, with Rev. Gene Yenser officiating. Interment will be private. The family would like memorial contributions to be made to Hospice of Defiance. Arrangements are entrusted to to Snyder-Wesche Funeral Home, Napoleon, Ohio.
