Andrew Preston Patrick

Andrew Preston Patrick, age 13, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at his home, after a lifelong illness. He was born on March 26, 2002 to Douglas and Jennifer (Mohr) Patrick. Andy was a happy child, who loved attention from his brothers and cousins. He loved the feel of water from his spa baths, swinging, the loud noises and vibrations of lawnmowers and motorcycles, and the sensations of horseback riding. He touched many lives, especially those of his medical team including Dr. Huffman and Dr. Ratliff-Schaub. Andy’s life was touched by Make-A-Wish and the Amvets, who sponsored a poker run in his honor. His giggles will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Andy is survived by his father and step-mother, Douglas and Amanda Patrick; brother, Jacob Patrick; step-brothers, Ethan and Seth Vance; and grandparents, Doyle and Mary Jo Patrick, Sandra Jennings, and Sarah Mohr. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jennifer Patrick; sister, Alyssa Patrick; and grandfather, Charles Mohr.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2015 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, Ohio. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 4, 2015 at the funeral home, Pastor Johnny Skaggs, officiating. Burial will follow at Young Cemetery in Liberty Center. Memorial donations are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice.
