
Banner “ Benny” Meade 69, of Napoleon passed away suddenly April 8, 2015 at Henry County Hospital in Napoleon. Born on October 16, 1945 to Emory Clayton and Irene “Stallard” Meade, in Coeburn Va. Married Diana Golliver on June 27, 1965 in Grover Hill Ohio.
Survived by his wife Diana, loving father of Michael Wayne Meade, Brian Keith Meade, Brenda Meade Adams and Mark Allen Meade, 3 Granddaughters, 1 Grandson and 2 Great-Granddaughters Also survived by sisters; Opal (Bob) Bortz, Christine(James) Myers Wilma (Kenneth) Hall, and Ardna (Jim) Helberg,
Preceded in death by his parents Emory and Irene, brothers Eston Meade and Richard Meade, and sister Marlene Holbrook.
Benny retired from Campbell Soup Company in 2007, after working there for 43 years as a Second Shift Coordinator for the Labeling Department.
Benny Meade was a good man, an honest man, a giving man. Someone who would give you the shirt off his back. He raised cows and chickens and gave all the eggs away to neighbors. He loved gardening, watching westerns and horses. He was a Chevy fan, a Nascar fan and a Cincinnati Reds fan. He also loved coon hunting with Sid Houck. Most importantly Benny was a man who loved his family.
Visitation for Benny will be on Monday April 13, 2015 starting at 2:00 p.m to 8 p.m, at Walker Mortuary 333 W. Main St. Napoleon, Ohio. Funeral Services in his honor will be on Tuesday April 14, 2015 starting at 10: a.m at First Baptist Church 1304 Lagrange Street, Napoleon, Ohio with Pastor Rick Trumbo Officiating. The family requests donations are made to; The American Diabetes Association or to The First Baptist Church of Napoleon.
