Daniel Eugene Maynard

Daniel Eugene Maynard, Sr. 57, went home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 8:20 a.m. at St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee. He was born to Thomas and Joan (Dishong) Maynard on August 31, 1956 in Defiance, Ohio. Daniel was a loving husband for 36 years to Reda (Webb), wishing Reda Happy Anniversary each month of their marriage.

Daniel enjoyed working on race cars at Oakshade and was an avid NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed Ohio State and Dallas Cowboy football. He was employed at Campbells for 35 years.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Reda (Webb) Maynard; parents, Thomas and Joan Maynard; children, Andrea (Erik) Quintero, Daniel (Marissa) Maynard, Jr., and also was a loving father to Michelle (Randy) Babcock and Michael Webb; loving pappaw to Malachi, Camden, Peyton, Quinten, Jahzlyn and Bryelle, and also grandfathered Andrea, Candice, and Anthony; and was a loving pappaw to a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by siblings, Charlie (Candy) Maynard, Mary (David) Bradley, Thomas Maynard, Cyril Maynard, and Michael (Kristina) Maynard. Daniel was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffery Lynn Maynard; grandparents, Daniel and Tossie Maynard, and Samuel and Helen Dishong.

Visitation will be held from 2 pm to 9 pm on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Walker Mortuary. Visitation will continue on Friday at First Baptist Church of Napoleon from 10am until the time of services at 11 am. with Pastor Richard Trumbo officiating. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery. Memorial Contributions are suggested to the First Baptist Church of Napoleon.
