
.Helen Virginia Mansfield, 71, of Napoleon, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee, Ohio. She was born on April 6, 1943 to Clyde and Ione (Ritter) Hudson. She worked at Campbells Soup Company for 18 years, and also enjoyed being a homemaker. Helen was an outgoing person who was devoted to her family, and to caring for others. She loved to garden and enjoyed all types of needlework and crafts. She volunteered at the Society for the Handicapped, Indoor Sports Program. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Helen is survived by her husband of more than 20 years, Michael Mansfield; her children, Randy (Rhonda) Zimmerman, John (Lisa) Zimmerman, Lisa Zimmerman, James Zimmerman, Kelly (Rachel) Zimmerman, Maxwell (Jodie) Mansfield, and Vincent (Elaine) Mansfield; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Bill (Jerri) Hudson, and Lulu (Bert) Wilson; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Samuel Ray Homan; and infant son, Dennis Zimmerman.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, OH. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, December 31 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice.
