Ilde Maria Towne

.Ilde Towne, 88, passed away on September 2, 2014 at the Lutheran Home on South Perry St Napoleon. Ilde was born on May 20, 1926 to Mr. and Mrs. Sante Zecchini in Rome, Italy. After coming to America in 1946 she worked at the National Bank of Montpelier for 25 years.

Ilde loved babysitting her great-grandchildren and being a homemaker. Ilde enjoyed cooking Italian meals and sharing stories about growing up in Rome.

Ilde is survived by her two sons: Donald (Connie) Towne and Kenneth Towne, five grandchildren: Donald, Jamie, Kevin, Amanda and David and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband George Towne, her infant daughter, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Sante Zecchini and her daughter-in-law Becky Towne.

Services are entrusted to Walker Mortuary, 333 W. Main St. Napoleon. Funeral Services will be private at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Lutheran Home, Napoleon or to a charity of the donor's choice.
