Ilva Strohl

Ilva A. (Plummer) Strohl, 99, of Angola, Indiana, formerly of Napoleon, Ohio, passed away on October 29, 2014. Ilva was born on July 13, 1915 in Napoleon to Raymond and Ora May Plummer. She was united in marriage on August 1, 1936 to William A. Strohl in Angola, Indiana.

Ilva was the loving mother of William (Marcia) Strohl Jr., and Sandra (Tom) Doty; beloved grandmother to 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 49 years, William A. Strohl; and sister, Francis Allen.

Ilva was a lifelong member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Napoleon. She was also a member of Eastern Star in Napoleon, and was a member of the Napoleon Elks. She was very involved in her children’s lives.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Walker Mortuary, 333 West Main Street, Napoleon, Ohio 43545, from Noon until 3pm. Funeral Services will follow at 3pm Sunday, Pastor Chad Roper officiating. Interment will take place at 1pm on Monday, November 3rd at Forest Hill Cemetery in Napoleon. The family requests donations be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church in Napoleon.
