

Born October 26, 1937 in Napoleon, Ohio, the son of Lester C. and Elnora (Moon) Gunter. On May 2, 1959 he married Mary M. Dickman, who survives of Napoleon.
Ken was a engineering technician for the Ohio Department of Transportation for 42 years, retiring in 2000. After retiring he was a consultant for the Mannik and Smith Co., Maumee, Ohio, for 4 years. He attended Bowling Green State University in engineering. He also worked part time at Franz Nursery for 15 years as a landscaper. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Napoleon, Ohio.
Ken enjoyed gardening, the coin club and spending time with his family.
Surviving also is one son Matthew (Buffy) Gunter, Kansas City, Missouri; two daughters Michele (Rick) Weirich, Napoleon, Ohio, Pamela (Keith Walters) Fearheiley, Columbia, South Carolina; grandchildren Peter and Gracie Gunter, Sarah, Adam and Paige Weirich, Suzanne Fearheiley, and a step grandchild Alex Walters; one sister Janet (Bruce) Buckmaster, Napoleon, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters Teresa and Jacqueline, two brothers Donald and Lester Jr. Gunter, two sisters Wanda Keedy and Marilyn McMillen.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Augustine Catholic Church, Father Dan Borgelt, celebrant. Interment will be made in Glenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, Ohio, on Monday from 2 to 8 p.m., where a scripture service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to the St. Augustine Catholic Church, the St. Augustine Catholic School or to the Mercy Home for Boys and Girls of Chicago.
