
Kenneth Maynard, 81, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Lutheran Home of Napoleon. He was born on May 31, 1933 to Harvey and Bessie Maynard of Logan County, West Virginia. Ken married his beloved wife, Darlene Bartley, in 1952. He went on to work in the maintenance department at Campbell’s Soup, serving 37 years until his retirement in 1995. Ken loved cars; buying, fixing, and selling them. He enjoyed watching western movies and wrestling matches. He also enjoyed his many collections. Ken loved being outside, taking pride in his well-manicured lawn.
Ken is survived by his wife of 62 years, Darlene G. Maynard; his children, Deborah (Roger) Gossard, and Catherine (John) Waxler; grandchildren, Andy Gossard, Erin Shaffer, Doug Gossard, Dakota Waxler, and Cheyenne Waxler; great-grandchildren, Damien, Linc, Olivia, and Luc; and sister Mary Ann Gardner. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters, Donald Maynard, Veronia Damron, Shirley Nagy, Dolly Dalton, Dallas Maynard, and Larry Maynard.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until Noon on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, OH. Funeral Services will follow at Noon on Saturday, Pastor Lee Genter officiating. Burial at Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to the Lutheran Home of Napoleon, or to the Henry County Humane Society.
