
M. Jeanne Bokerman, 93, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015 at Glenn Park Assisted Living in Defiance. She was born on October 11, 1921 to Albert and Alta (Boucher) Adsmond. Jeanne was a graduate of Bowling Green State University, with a B.S. in education. She was also a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. Jeanne taught for Henry County Schools. She married William E. Bokerman Sr. on December 25, 1942 and he preceded her in death. She served as a church officer at First Presbyterian Church in Napoleon. She was also a member of the Lady Elks ,past officer of the D.A.R., past officer of the Henry County Republican Club, the Ladies Noble Shrine, and the Browsers Literary Society. Jeanne loved to garden and enjoyed watching the Maumee River from her home overlooking the river. She and her husband, William, spent winters in Naples, Florida for 40 years. She enjoyed writing poetry, but most of all, Jeanne loved her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Jeanne is survived by her children, William E. Bokerman Jr., Joel (Jill) Bokerman, and Andrea (William) Bracht; grandchildren, David Bracht, Allison Peak, Andrew Bracht, Hillary Bracht, Ryan Bokerman, Brentan Bokerman, and Grant Bokerman; step-grandchildren, Aaron Bloomfield, Brian Bloomfield, Christopher Bloomfield, and Ashlie Thomas; and brother, Alan Adsmond. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, William E. Bokerman Sr., and sister, Janice Pean.
Services were private. Memorial donations are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church of Napoleon. Arrangements were entrusted to Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, Ohio.
