Maria L. Guibord-Timbs

.Maria L. (Gomez) Guibord-Timbs, 69, of Napoleon, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, after a lengthy battle with stage 4 liver and pancreatic cancer She was born in Texas on September 6, 1945 to Manuel and Amatina Gomez. Maria worked for many years at Tenneco and LaChoy Foods. Her passion was gardening, enjoying her flowers and trees and working in her yard and garden. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, and was active in the Henry County Senior Center, American Legion, VFW, Moose, and Eagles.

Maria is survived by her husband and best friend, Alvin Timbs; her children, Richard (Amy Mock) Crosser, Jennifer (Matthew) Meyer, and Anthony Rodriguez; and brothers, Mike (Posie) Gomez, Phil (Debbie) Gomez, and Manuel (Linda) Gomez. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Francis J. “Jack” Guibord.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10 from 2pm to 5pm and 6pm to 8pm at Snyder-Wesche Funeral Home in Napoleon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 11 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Napoleon with burial at the church cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice.
