
He graduated from Fremont Ross High School, attended Hillsdale College and Texas A & M. Honorably served in the Marine Corps –Semper Fi- a member of the Bert G. Taylor Post 300 of the American Legion, Ducks Unlimited and lifetime member of the Amateur Trapshooting Association.
While working for Mosser Construction Company of Fremont, Ohio for 50 years as a Project Superintendent, Mike created the forms still used today to build bridges and overpasses. He also built hospitals, Leipsic Steel Plant and, his favorite, many water treatment plants.
He enjoyed his model trains but loved being outdoors hunting and especially, trapshooting.
He leaves behind, with many wonderful memories to cherish of him, the love of his life, Linda, son Tom (Pam) Otermat , grandchildren: Derek (Nicole) Otermat, Nikki Otermat, Kayla (Kevon) McKinsey and great-grandson Carson Otermat.
He was preceded in death by his parents and great-grandson Nolan McKinsey.
You are welcome to pay your respects to the departed at Walker Mortuary, Napoleon (333 W. Main St.) on Friday April 10, 2015 from noon to 3 p.m.
