

Myrtle Viola Hale, 71 of Napoleon passed away, Friday April 17, 2015 at the Defiance Inpatient Hospice. Born on August 23, 1943, in Wise County Virginia to Claude and Rissie (Vance) Brummitt. United in Marriage to Paul Eugene Hale Sr. on November 5, 1960.
Loving mother of Paul E. Hale Jr., Rissie Sue (John) Hale Ballin and Matthew (Sonya) Hale. Grandmother of Brittiny, Jacob, Tory, Gage, Alanna, Nicole, Katie and Mitch. Great Grandmother of David, Alex, Jayce, Tyler, Kiara, Reeanah and Justina. Also survived by sister Mary (Charles) Holifield.
Preceded in death by her parents Claude and Rissie Brummitt, brother Landon Brummitt and sister Audrey Willete Combs.
Myrtle was a very generous loving person who never turned a stranger away. A devoted mother and stay at home mom, she loved gardening and had many flower beds. She was very artistic and a painter. Myrtle was a devote Christian who believed “as long as two gather in my name it will be called church”. She was a good cook who never sat down to eat. She was an animal lover, especially her dogs. Myrtle was very crafty and loved sewing, crocheting, quilting and flower arranging. She looked forward to playing with her grandkids, cooking for them and letting them spend the night. Myrtle loved a good garage sale and went to many antique auctions with her husband Paul. Her love and kindness will be greatly missed.
Visitation for Myrtle will be at Walker Mortuary 333 W. Main St. Napoleon, Ohio, on Monday April 20, 2015 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. There will be another visitation at Walker Mortuary on Tuesday April 21, 2015 from 9 a.m until the time of her funeral at 11 a.m. Sheila Cash will officiate. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. The family requests donations in honor of Myrtle be made to; Community Health Professionals, Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center.
