Ruth Schnabele Delaney

Ruth was born to the late Henry and Elsie (Stauffer) Schnabele at home in Deshler Ohio. Ruth was married in Lima, Ohio to William J. Delaney, September 16, 1943.

Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, William J. Delaney, brothers, Robert Schnabele, Carl Schnabele, Donald Schnabele and grandchild, Neil A. Demmel.

She is survived by her brother, Paul Schnabele and her sister, Mary (Schnabele) Smith, both of Deshler, Ohio, two children, Judith E. (Delaney) Demmel, Eugene W. Delaney, grandchildren, Jill (Demmel) Wesaw, Mitch Delaney, Joe Delaney and Sara (Delaney) Adams, 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Ruth was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church of Napoleon. She was emplyed in Lima, Ohio when she first married. She farmed for many years with her husband. She later worked as a greeter for Walmart for many years. She was a lifelong Church member and loved to sing hymns as well as a member of the Deshler Farmer’s Elevator for many years. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and reading.

Friends will be received from 4:00 to 8:00 on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 in the Snyder-Wesche Funeral Home, 830 N. Scott St. Napoleon, Ohio 43545, 419-592-3010. Visitation will continue in the Emanuel Lutheran Church, 810 Scott St. Napoleon, Ohio at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 where funeral services will begin at 10:00. Burial will follow at Sherman Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Henry County Cancer Society.
