

Thomas Boyd 88 years old of Napoleon passed away on August 8, 2013 at Fulton Manor. Born on March 6, 1925 to Harry and Ruth (Link) Boyd in Napoleon. United in marriage to the late Ruth (Kurtz) Boyd, they were married for more than 50 years.
Survived by, son Jack (Sheryl) Boyd, grandchildren, Joshua and Sarah Boyd and sister Donelda Davis of Lima Ohio.
Thomas served our country in WWII with the Navy as a Gunners Mate. After the war he returned to Campbells Soup where he worked as an electrician until his retirement in 1987. You could often find Thomas at his cottage in Silver Lake Michigan fishing and being outdoors. He was also very attached to his Honda S2000 convertible roadster, but more than anything he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren Joshua and Sarah. Thomas was a member of American Legion Post 300 for over 50 years. He was very active at Christ United Methodist Church serving in many different roles throughout the years. Christ United Methodist Church played a very important role in his life.
Preceded in death by his parents ; Harry and Ruth Boyd, his wife Ruth Boyd and son, Thomas W. Boyd. Also by siblings , Marie Densel, Ralph Boyd and Dorothy Steele.
Visitation for Thomas will be held at Walker Mortuary 333 W. Main St. Napoleon on Sunday August 11, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday August 13, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church 1255 Glenwood Ave, Napoleon. Pastor Mary Kay Officiating. Military Honors will be accorded to Thomas by the American Legion Post #300 of Napoleon at Forest Hill Cemetery Napoleon, Ohio. Donations in honor of Thomas may be made to Christ United Methodist Church or a charity of the donors choice.
