Dolores Servin, age 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Homestead Hospital in Homestead, FL. She was born on February 27, 1938 in San Antonio, Texas with roots stemming from Nocupetaro, Michoacán, Mexico.
Dolores dedicated her early years raising her children in Marion, Indiana until finally settling in Homestead, FL in 1977, where she lived most of her life until her departure to heaven. Dolores became a migrant worker upon settling in Florida and worked detasseling corn, picking apples, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and many more. Dolores had a passion for cooking, taking pictures and changing people’s lives for the better. Dolores spent her last year’s maintaining her beautiful flowers and trees, caring for her birds and enjoyed spending time with her family. Dolores was a spiritual woman and a prayer warrior who not only prayed for herself, but heavily prayed for others. Dolores was known for touching so many lives throughout her lifetime with her welcoming personality and helping hand. She will be deeply missed by family, friends and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Dolores is survived by her companion, Manuel Gomez; her children Maria, Victoria, Marbella, Diana, Richard, Rosa, Maribel, Jessica, Lolita and David Servin; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2PM on July 6th at Caballero Rivero Palms Woodlawn located at 27100 Old Dixie Hwy, Naranja, FL. The family would like to express our gratitude to everyone who has sent their condolences to the family and Homestead Hospital for their hard efforts and wonderful help.
