Domenick George Fanelli

Long time Homestead resident Ret. Maj. Domenick G. Fanelli, a most wonderful and great Husband, Father, and Hero (to Family, Friends, and Our Country), passed away on March 21, 2015 at the age of 87. Domenick is predeceased by his Parents, Frank and Josephine Fanelli, and his Sisters, Alice Distilli and Lois Wilder. Domenick is survived by his Loving wife Hien of 49 years. They were married in Tay Ninh, Vietnam on May 30, 1966. Domenick is lovingly remembered by his Wife and soul mate, Hien of Homestead; sons Patrick and Paul Fanelli of Homestead; adopted daughters Chin Tarpenning and Lien Heller of California; and loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Domenick was born in the Bronx, New York in 1927. He spent his childhood in New York and later enlisted in the U.S. military where he proudly served his country as a decorated U.S. Air Force Fighter pilot. After completing his military career he joined the U.S. Postal Service where he enjoyed working in his local community. Domenick thoroughly enjoyed spending as much quality time as possible with his family. The funeral service will held on March 29th, 2015 at Palms Woodlawn Funeral Home at 27100 Old Dixie Highway, Homestead, Fl. . The viewing and service will begin at 1pm to 3pm followed by the Honor Guard Ceremony. Arrangements under the direction of Caballero Rivero Palms Woodlawn, NARANJA, FL.
