He began his landscaping career while still in high school, laying the foundation for a talent he would continue to develop throughout his life. After spending several winters in the Florida Keys, he made the area his permanent home, first settling in Marathon and later in Big Pine Key.
During his time in the Keys, he worked on a fishing boat, where he became known for his skill in preparing the day’s catch, often sharing meals with family and friends. He eventually returned to landscaping, where his strong work ethic and artistic vision helped him transform properties into beautiful spaces.
Guy remained active in his community, enjoying in-line skating and rollerblade hockey. He even founded a local league that later provided opportunities for children in the area. Above all, his greatest joy was spending time with his son, sharing his love of music and movies.
Guy is survived by his son, Cole; his brothers, Bill, Glen, Gerry, and Greg Griffith; and his sisters, Gay Leigh Griffith and Gigi Griffith Hall. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Gwen Griffith; his sister-in-law, Karen Griffith; and his brother-in-law, Don Hall.
