He attended Orange Park elementary school, St. John's country Day school, and graduated from Asheville school for boys in N.C. He attended Stetson University in Deland, FL, studying business. It was at Stetson where he met and married Lucy Tobias.
He worked in banking, and then at the Florida Keys Aqueduct system, as a diesel mechanic, and he eventually retired from the state of GA.
He is survived by 6 siblings: Augusta (Mike) Leech, Susan Pace, Anne (Dave) Fortunato, Thomas Worth Pace, Elizabeth (Steve) Sorenson, and Hardy Pace, and his children
He is preceded in death by his parents John and Gussie Pace , and his brother Christian Pace.
He was an avid outdoorsman, conservationist, and he loved nature. During his lifetime, he planted several hundred pine and palm trees.
He was kind hearted and was always available to use his God--given talents to help a friend or neighbor.
He was loved very much and will be greatly missed.
