Jose Lopez Hernandez, 72, was born March 19, 1942, in Sebastian, Texas to the late Pablo Hernandez and the late Micaella Lopez. He passed away on June 11, 2014. He was a long-time resident of Homestead and South Miami and a founding proprietor of El Toro Taco Restaurant in Homestead for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Maria Moller Hernandez; brothers, Pablo, Eugenio and sister, Virginia; step-mother, Estefana Hernandez; half-brothers, Hector, Adam, Jose Luis; half-sisters, Alicia Bennett and Emma Hernandez, and was preceded in death by Telvina Gutierrez.
He will be missed by his family and an extended family of nieces and nephews.
