Louis Garcia,69, passed away at his residence on January 1, 2019 in Homestead, Florida. Louis was born on November 13, 1949 to Mr. Louis O. Garcia and Mrs. Maria Carmen H. Garcia. He was born in South Chicago, Illinois and was one of seven children. He graduated from St. Francis DeSeos Catholic High School. After graduating from high school Louis joined the United States Air Force. He was also a graduate from Barry University. Louis was honorably discharged from the military and began a career as a public service assistant with the Miami-Dade police department. Louis transferred to the Miami-Dade waste management division where he retired as a supervisor.
Louis had a big heart and cared for animals. He loved his dogs and took care of them with great passion. He also was an active member with the ASPCA. Louis loved athletics and was an avid racquetball player which was his main hobby. Louis' favorite professional teams were the Chicago Bears, Chicago Bulls, Miami Dolphins, Chicago Cubs, and Chicago White Sox.
Louis is survived by his siblings, Mary Helen, Judy, Diane, Irene, Fernando, and Roger. He is also survived by his daughters, Corinna Garcia and Ileana Castillo and former spouse Ms. Rosita Garcia. Louis had three grandchildren, Felix Diego Valdes, Samantha Sturgis , and Lorenzo Sturgis. Louis is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Louis will always be remembered by one of his favorite sayings..... "YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR MISSING"!!!!
