There is no way to simplify and minimize all he was to us in just a few words, he was beyond AMAZING. He was very open minded, wise, loyal, strong, unique, fearless, adventurous, funny, & had a heart of gold.
He met the love of his life, Margarita in the year of 1977. Together they shared many adventures, laughs, and created memories that will last a lifetime. Their bond has been unbreakable since then. Eventually they got married and shared three beautiful children. Never leaving each others side they faced life together and will forever be best friends, soul mates, life partners and one thing that will never end is their TRUE LOVE.
He was very passionate about all the things he put his mind to. He was always ready to listen, his conversations were unforgettable. He always knew the right things to say. He was never judgemental, he loved unconditionally.
He filled our lives with so much happiness and taught us to be strong and independent. He lit up the room with his smile. His style was unique and when he stepped in the room his presence was known. There was no place he went that didn’t have music blasting from the speakers, whether it be at home or on his bike rides with us. The nights he took out his telescope and admired the stars and the moon became a tradition of which he shared with his grandchildren.
No matter how hard the day's work was, he managed to find the energy and time to dance the night away while playing an instrument of which he added his personal touch too. His carvings were incredible. I remember like yesterday when he created a bamboo with our names carved in it, painted it & filled it with lights. He never used an ordinary cane to walk with, instead his were as unique as he was.
Such a hard working man, father, grandfather, & husband. He was rich with love & he gave us all of his riches, every drop. He was always there to pick us up if we fell, put bandaids on our cuts, put alcohol on our scrapes, invent a fix for the otherwise unfixable, turn our tears to laughs, show us the true meaning of strength, taught us to value family and never ever give up!
That was “Don Guillo
We were blessed with so many years with such a beautiful soul of a man. He loved his family with all of his heart. His grandchildren brought him so much joy. He never missed a special moment in their lives and he made everyday spent with them an adventure. He enjoyed swimming, bike riding, fishing, dancing, singing, stargazing and admiring the moon with all of us.
He was legendary in our lives, Our king, Our protector, the true definition of Strength, a wise man. His name will be mentioned forever.
As we lay him to rest, we lose the biggest part of our lives. Our lives will be filled with the unforgettable memories and endless happiness he gave to us all these years. You can never be ready to loose someone so special but we will make sure His memory lives on forever.
Survived by his wife Margarita Muniz, their 3 children & his siblings.
