Margaret Johanna Hills

Margaret was 97 years old when she passed away peacefully in Marietta, GA on January 31, 2020. Her youngest, Annette by her side.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 5th in the chapel of Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home, Marietta, Georgia. The family will receive friends, from 10:00 - 11:00 AM Wednesday, prior to the service in. Margaret will be buried next to her husband at 2:00 PM, Saturday February 8th in Caballero Rivero Palms Woodlawn Cemetery at Naranja, Florida.

Margaret was born in Nashville, TN December 6, 1922, the daughter of the late James and Mary Theresa Burns. She was the youngest of their six children. She graduated from Saint Ann’s Catholic School and soon afterward married her lifelong husband, Fred G Hills, Jr, in 1942. They had their first four children in Nashville and their last in Homestead, FL.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Fred Grant Hills, Jr. and their first grandchild, Russell Page Hills in 2000.

She lovingly leaves behind her five children: Fred G Hills, III (Kay), Meridian, MS; Donald R. Hills (Pamela), Jupiter, FL; Mary Margaret Kienel, Clevelend, GA; Sara Lynn Boone (Daniel), Cleveland, GA; Jo Annette Prozzillo (Paul), Marietta, GA; Grandchildren, Jamie Mitchell (Pamela), John Mitchell (Suzanne), Warren Hills (Kelly), Dana Hills (Marcia), Paige Hills Lievano (German), Aaron Boone, Danielle Gooch (Bo), Nicholas Prozzillo (Lindsey), Lauren Speed (Matt), Alexandra Prozzillo; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
