It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our loving youngest sister, Maria Guadalupe Arredondo, who departed this life peacefully after a courageous 16 year battle with non alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver (NACL). She passed away surrounded by the love of her family.
Maria's life was a testament to resilience, kindness, and unwavering spirit. Born in Traverse City, Michigan and raised in Cutler Ridge, Florida, Maria cultivated a deep love for helping patients as a CNA nurse. She dedicated many years to her work as a nurse, volunteering, and leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. Her warm smile, infectious laughter, and compassionate nature will be deeply missed by her family, friends and those she came in contact with.
Maria is survived by her beloved siblings, Paula Anguiano, Andrea Mauricio, Jose Arredondo, Zeferina Covarrubias, Juan Arredondo, Juanita Anguiano, Ninfa Walsh, Daniel Arredondo and Rosita Kizzee, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leonardo Arredondo, mother, Maria L Arredondo, and oldest brother, Leonardo Jr Arredondo, whom she is now reunited in heaven in the peace and comfort of our Heavenly Father.
The Arredondo family requests that donations be made in Maria's memory to the American Liver Foundation, an organization dedicated to the research and prevention of liver disease and to activities designed to create positive change for all those affected by liver disease. Donations can be made online at https://liverfoundation.org/.
