Maria Lourdes Gaytan

August 15, 1954 - March 9th, 2024

Maria Lourdes Gaytan was born August 15, 1954 in Brownsville, Texas and departed to her

heavenly home on March 9th 2024 in Miami, Florida. Maria married her one true love

Abraham Gaytan Jr in 1970 and raised their family in Homestead, FL. Maria loved her family,

adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to dance and on any given

Saturday night you could find her and her beloved Abraham enjoying a good cumbia on a dance

floor. Maria is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Abraham Gaytan, Jr, her parents

Maria and Salvador Campos, her sister Sandra Campos, brothers Jesus Campos (widow Nidia

Campos) and Pedro Campos (widow Josefina Campos).

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her six children; Monica Gaytan

(Carlyle Saunders) of Miami FL, Abraham Gaytan III, Saul Gaytan (Maria Teresa Jaramillo)

and Jose Gaytan all of Homestead, FL, Salvador Gaytan (Yesenia Gaytan) of San Marcos, TX

and Maria Elvira Paz (Juan Paz) of Bradenton, FL. She was immensely blessed with 15

grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and her surviving brothers Juan Campos (Basilia

Campos) of Mission, TX, Joel Campos (Maria Luisa Melendez) Jose Campos (Aurora Cordova)

of Homestead, FL and sister Ana Laura Lozoya (Manuel Lozoya) of Mercedes, TX and an

abundance of nieces and nephews that will all miss her deeply.

A visitation for Maria will be held Sunday, March 17, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Caballero Rivero Palms Woodlawn, 27100 OLD DIXIE HWY, NARANJA, FL 33032, followed by a celebration of life from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
