Martha Rosa Lara Funes, or how we loved to call her “La mejor vestida de Homestead”; i will always remember her delicious tamales (mine will never taste like hers), her sopita de pavo, and the many many cereals she had ready for me and my brother every time we visited. I will miss hearing her say “Pipo vamos a Kohls necesito vestido para el sabado” and we would be there for HOURS that was the only place she would never get tired. But my favorite of all, when my mom sent me for vacations and i arrived with my head full of lice lol my mom was so embarrassed but my Tiita was thrilled said it had been years since she had to clean a head LOL, she sat me in that tub for hours. She will be missed so much, it gives me comfort that she was able to come to Honduras one last time, having her on my wedding day meant the world to all of us and knowing she is finally together with her dear Lalita. I love you so much Tiita, thank you for being the grandmother i never got to know.

To Madelyn and the Lara Family. Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your dear Mother. May her memory be a blessing.

We were headed to a weekend getaway to the JW Marriot Turnberry hotel.  She loved to travel, even if it was locally and for a few days.  Roberto Lara, husband and one of her grandkids, Jenna Vital.
