Mary Evelyn Cox

Mary Evelyn Cox, December 8,1938 - March 17, 2023 Mary Evelyn Cox passed away on March 17th, 2023 at the age of 84 in Homestead, Florida. Preceded in death by her husband Lynn, parents Lonnie and Dauphine Moon, sisters Norma and Beverly Joe, and granddaughter Rachel. She passed away from advanced Alzheimer’s disease. Mary was born in Texarkana, Arkansas, Dec 8th, 1938, graduated from Texarkana High School and married her school sweetheart, Lynn Cox, in 1958. She raised three daughters: Julie, Laurie (Terry) and Marianne. Mary loved and adored her grandchildren: Christopher, Michael, Terry Jr., Shane, Miranda, Kylie and Rachel. She leaves behind many great-grandchildren. For years, “Miss Mary” was a daily patron of Lolly’s restaurant where she made many new friends and enjoyed socializing in her later years. She enjoyed word searches, watching Jeopardy, and spending time with her family. Mary was an excellent baker and cook. She will be deeply missed by our family, but we know she is at peace with Jesus Christ in Heaven. A brief, family memorial to be held.
