Miriam was a one-of-a-kind woman…independent, self-sufficient, strong-willed, and never afraid to speak her mind. She was a true firecracker, with a direct and assertive personality that made it difficult to ignore and impossible to forget. She lived life on her own terms and had a strength and determination that, along with her deep faith in God and the Lord Jesus, carried her through every chapter of her challenging life.
Those who knew Miriam knew exactly where they stood with her. She didn't sugarcoat things, and she wasn't one to back down. But beneath the tough exterior was a woman who cared deeply about her family, helped many in need and left an unmistakable mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Miriam is survived by her two children, Cesar Tano and Silvio Tano; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Her family was a lasting part of her legacy, and the memories she created with them will continue to live on through generations.
Miriam's strong spirit, independence, unforgettable personality, and the stories she left behind will be remembered and cherished by her family and all who knew her.
