Ruth Elaine Partridge

On May 15, 2025, after a long illness, Ruth Elaine Partridge passed away at home, with her daughter Sandi Santiago at her bedside. Ruth was born on June 7, 1944, in Kittery, Maine to Barbara K. Partridge and Leland R. Partridge.

Ruth is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Pamela and Philip Colwell of Trezevant, Tn and Sandi and Sam Santiago of Homestead, FL as well as her sisters Linda A. Cloud of Ft. Worth, Texas, Magda P. Morris of Macon, Georgia, and Carol J. Partridge of Martinez, California.

She was predeceased by her parents, Barbara K. Partridge and Leland R. Partridge, her sister Barbara M. Partridge, her daughter Brenda L. Ellsmore, and her longtime partner William Marcoullier.

Ruth graduated from South Berwick High School, South Berwick, Maine in 1962 and later completed courses at McIntosh College in Dover, New Hampshire. Ruth enjoyed being a mother and worked hard to provide for her daughters. When she retired in 2009, she was pricing manager for Winn-Dixie grocery store.

She was a past president of the VFW Auxiliary #4127 in Homestead and served as a state officer for the auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and making her home attractive and welcoming.

We are grateful for her sense of humor and her hugs, as well as her hard work. She brought much joy into our lives, and we give thanks for the time we had with her. Every moment, every conversation, every smile was a gift.
