

Anastine Caros, 93, of Nashua, NH passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014 in Nashua. She was born February 3, 1921 in Haverhill, MA, daughter of the late Pericles T. and Agorou Douzenis. She was the wife of Constantine “Charlie” Caros who passed away December 9, 2000, whom she was married to for 37 years.
Mrs. Caros graduated from Haverhill High School, class of 1938. She worked for the Western Electric Company in the Engineering Department as a technical clerk and later at Fifth Avenue Shoe Company as a secretary to the superintendent. While living in Nashua she was also employed by Sanders Associates and became the secretary to the Tax Manager until she retired in 1972.
Mrs. Caros was a member of St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church and a member of the Ladies Society Agape. She was also a past member of the Nashua Country Club and the Women’s Golf Association. She will be remembered as a loving, caring, and generous aunt.
She is survived by four nieces; Mrs. Joan Pappas of Millersville, PA, Mrs. Vivian St. Laurent of Nashua, Mrs. Elaine Danielian of Nashua and Mrs. Stephanie Tetley of Merrimack, NH as well as by several great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Constantine, four sisters; Thessie Eliopulos, Marion Zazopoulos, Catherine Karvelas and Emily Gianopoulos and by her niece; Joyce Habib.
There were no calling hours. Funeral services were private. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to either St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church, 500 W. Hollis St., Nashua, NH 03062 or to Home Health and Hospice, 7 Executive Park Dr., Merrimack, NH 03054.
