Born in Cambridge, MA, Anne spent the majority of her life in New Haven, CT, where she built her home, career, and family. For many years, she worked diligently as a machine worker at Winchester Repeating Arms, contributing her sharp skills and strong work ethic to the historic company.
Anne was the loving wife of her late husband, William Merlino. Together, they shared a beautiful life rooted in mutual devotion. She was also preceded in death by her beloved son, Thomas Merlino, whom she missed dearly, as well as close family friends Paul and Diane Hutchinson.
A woman of deep and enduring faith, Anne was a devout Catholic whose beliefs guided her daily life. Beyond her devotion to her faith, she possessed a vibrant spirit and a love for life’s simple pleasures. She was an avid Bingo player who rarely missed a game and found great joy and peace in swimming. In her final years, she especially cherished her Bistro visits and Checkers games with Lorraine and all her friends at All American Assisted Living, as well as her regular weekend visits with her dear friends, Edward and Jessica, and her "honorary" grand-niece, baby Adella.
Her strength, warmth, and dedication to those she loved will be deeply missed by all her beloved friends throughout New England and Florida.
Private services will be held at a later date.
