Anna T Pappas
November 19, 1921 – June 24, 2016
Anna T. Pappas, 94, of Nashua, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2016. She was born in Nashua on November 19, 1921, daughter of the late Demetrios and Maria (Nasioupoulos) Theoharis.
She was a lifelong resident of Nashua, and graduated from Nashua High in 1939. She was a devout Orthodox Christian, and a proud and dedicated member of the Elpis Ladies' Society, a charitable organization. She was a master cook of Greek cuisine and pastry, and she enjoyed antiquing, gardening, knitting, and sewing. Her children were her pride and joy, especially her granddaughter. We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Mom/Yiayia. Her wealth of selflessness and kind spirit will be sorely missed.
Anna is survived by her son James Pappas and his wife Paula of Galloway, NJ, her daughter Maria Donati and her husband Paul of Brookline, NH, her brother Ernest Theoharis of Plymouth, MA, her sister Sophie Theoharis of Nashua, a beloved granddaughter, Marisa Donati of Brookline, NH and her beloved godchild, Jane MacIntyre of Amherst, NH. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her Husband Charles Pappas in 2000.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from 11:30am-12:30pm at St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church, 500 W Hollis St. Nashua, with a funeral service at 12:30, burial will immediately follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church.
