Asher R Nelson

Asher Roland Nelson, 91, loving father and grandfather, passed away at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH on October 3, 2014. The youngest of 13, he was born on April 4, 1923 to Asher and Rose Nelson of Claremont New Hampshire.

A WWII Veteran, he married his beloved wife Marjorie Nelson whom he was married to for 65 years. He is survived by their 5 adoring children: David & Joan Nelson, Steven Nelson, Lois Jorgensen, Edward & Joanne Nelson, and Charles and Melody Nelson, along with 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

He loved the Red Sox and was an active participant in the local bowling league. He enjoyed golfing, playing cribbage, watching westerns and going to the beach with his family. He is dearly missed.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, October 6, 2014 from 4-6pm, with a funeral service at 6:00, at the Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home located on 26 Kinsley St Nashua. The burial will take place on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Woodlawn Cemetery located on 101 Kinsley St, Nashua. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH.
