Bertha T. Dimitrov

Mrs. Dimitrov was a devoted wife, mother and memere. Her greatest joy was her family and being memere meant the absolute world to her as her family was the center of her life. She enjoyed many trips around the world with her husband, but her real enjoyment was coming home to her house and family. Mrs. Dimitrov loved tending to her yard and garden, which she filled with flowers, herbs and vegetables. She had a passion for cooking and was especially proud of the food she made, including canned goods, grape jellies and wine, which she made from her own fruits and vegetables. In her world “food was love” and it brought her great joy to share. She was a woman with a zest for life that allowed her to fight a 32 year battle with cancer. An amazing woman of strength, her illness did not define her, but rather drove her to help others with her positive attitude and encouragement.

Mrs. Dimitrov is survived by her husband of 51 years; Boris N. Dimitrov of Nashua. She had two sons, the late Nikola B. Dimitrov and leaves behind; Michael L. Dimitrov and his wife Laurie of Chelmsford, MA, two grandchildren who were the apples of her eye; Matthew and Kyleigh Dimitrov, both of Chelmsford, MA. She had two brothers; George Caron of Gardner, MA, and the late Maurice Caron, and also leaves behind, a sister in law; Agnes Caron in Winchendon, MA and by nieces and nephews; Norman Caron, June Wolski, Richard “Dicky” Caron and Steven Caron.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, March 27, 2015 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley St., Nashua. Funeral services will be held at 9:00am Saturday, March 28th in St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church, 500 W. Hollis St., Nashua. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, 101 Kinsley St., Nashua. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed the Vermont-New Hampshire Affiliate of Susan G. Komen, Attn: Donor Services, 21 Bonnet Street, PO Box 2496, Manchester Center, Vermont 05255 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
