Carmen Yvonne (Nadeau) Duplessis, 83, of Palm Bay FL, passed away on Friday February 7th while surrounded by her family, after a decline of Alzheimers. She was born on April 8, 1936 in Bromptonville P. Que. Canada, to the late Achille and Lucienne (Labonte) Nadeau.

Carmen attended schools in Canada, until coming to the US. In 1968, she worked in various factories and helped in building the family business of Val’s Concrete until she retired from Tom McCain in Nashua. Upon retiring, she continued helping with the family business, and she would spend her winters in Florida with love of her life Valere Duplessis, with whom they shared 55 years of marriage until his passing in 2009. She was a parishioner of St. Louis De Gonzague, and loved sewing, French country music, dancing, Christmas and especially her family.

She is survived by her children Regina Duplessis and Andrew Zamoiski of Wilton NH, Roland and his wife Lisa (Bouchard) Duplessis of Nashua NH, Lynn (Duplessis) and her husband Joseph Egan Sr. of Palm Bay FL, Michael Duplessis and Judith Robinson of Bradford NH, Danielle (Duplessis) and her husband Edward Melvin of Palm Bay FL; her brothers Emile and his wife Lorraine (Lemieux) Nadeau of Canada, Marcel and his wife Agathe (Bonhomme) Nadeau of Canada. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Carmen is predeceased by her brother Gerald Nadeau, her sister Jeannette (Nadeau) and her husband Andre Ruel; her godson Sylvain and his father Rosaire Duplessis of Canada; son in laws Ronald Bosse of Nashua NH, Herbert DeGroff from Kissimmee FL; her daughter in law Greta (Gaedtke) Duplessis from Nashua; and grandchild Brian Melvin from Palm Bay FL.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday February 13, 2020 from 4-8pm at the Zis-Sweeney & St. Laurent Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley St. Nashua. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday February 14, 2020 at 10am at St. Louis De Gonzague Parish Church, 48 W. Hollis St, Nashua NH, with a burial immediately following at St. Louis Cemetery.

Carmen was a lovely woman. I spent more time at the Duplessis house than my own. So many memories of the old neighborhood. Sincere Sympathy to family and friends.
