Cecile Carter

Cecile Jeanne Carter, 100, of Nashua, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2019. Born on August 3, 1918, the ninth child of sixteen, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ida (Berube) Dionne.

A lifelong resident of Nashua, Cecile, Sis, C.C., Mim, as most knew her, was a very active woman all her life. She worked in the shoe shop prior to her marriage Jack (John), and then became a stay at home mother for her son and daughter. She was an active parishioner of St. Christopher’s Parish where she ran rummage sales, counted the collection every Monday and volunteered her time to several organizations constantly. From growing up swimming at Fields Grove with all her siblings, to golfing and bowling, she always kept busy. She always drove a new convertible, and played her favorite songs always with the top down. She will be fondly remembered and missed immensely.

She is survived by her brother Roger Dionne and her daughter Susan Carter, 6 grandchildren Kelly, Jason, Jennifer, Melissa, Meg and Josh, 11 great children, and 1 great great grandchild, along with many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her loving husband Jack (John), son Jack John Jr, 2 baby sisters, and her adult sisters Camille Simard, Ida Voisine, Lillian Dionne, Loretta Turcotte, Rita Decourcy, and her 7 brothers Henry, Leo, Paul, Pete (Raymond), peanut (Wilfred), Pat, Rene Dionne.

No calling hours will be held, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 A.M. on Thursday July 18, 2019 at St. Christopher Church, 62 Manchester St, Nashua NH, burial immediately following at Edgewood Cemetery, 107 Amherst St, Nashua NH. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Cecile’s memory. Condolences may be offered at
