

Cecile T. Hansberry, 94, a life-long resident of Nashua, NH passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at the Warde Health Center, Windham, NH. She was born November 22, 1919 in Nashua, NH, a daughter of the late Stanislaus and Elise (Michaud) Noel.
Mrs. Hansberry attended Nashua’s St. Louis de Gonzague schools, Daniel Webster College and the American Institute of Banking. She was the past Secretary of the local Chapter of the American Institute of Banking, Treasurer for the local Chapter #622 of the AARP, Treasurer of the local Court Bishop Molloy #1441 of the Catholic Daughters of the Americans and a member of St. Patrick Parish Women’s Guild. Mrs. Hansberry was the head teller at Nashua Trust and as an Auditor at the Indian Head Bank. She loved music, was quite an accomplished pianist and visited the Nashua Senior Center frequently to partake of line dancing there with the ladies. Mrs. Hansberry was also a very devoted daughter of the Catholic church, loved spending time with her only grandchild during his growing years, and reminisced often of the time she spent travelling in Europe.
She is survived by a son; David Hansberry and his wife Cindy of Litchfield, NH, a daughter; Mary Lou Wilson and her husband John of Holyoke, MA, her grandson; Steven M. Hansberry of Litchfield and by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; Owen F. Hansberry in 1970 and also by her 12 brothers and sisters.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm in the Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley St., Nashua. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30am Monday in St. Patrick Parish, 29 Spring St., Nashua. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Hudson, NH.
