

He was a retired Air Force veteran who served during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. After his 20 years of military service, he worked as an electronics technician at Raytheon in Massachusetts until retirement. He grew up in Stark, NH, later lived in Londonderry after his military service, and spent the last 39 years in Dunbarton, NH. Chandis enjoyed spending time at his camp in Stark, enjoying fishing, snowmobiling and traveling with his wife.
He was a member of the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans (DAV), and The Retired Enlisted Association and N.H. Veterans Association.
Chandis leaves behind his wife of 68 years, Marion E. Gibson; his daughters, Linda, Sherrie, Terri and George and Susie from a previous marriage. Also his beloved ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Maude Gibson; siblings, Henry, Leatha, Opal, Mildred, Kenneth, Teresa; and a son, George G. Gibson.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Family and friends will be notified once arrangements have been made.
