
Clement R. Tanguay, 90, passed away at his home on November 29, 2017. He was born on March 5, 1927 in Garthby, Quebec, Canada. He is a United States Navy Veteran, and served during World War II. He was very involved with the Masons and was a part of the Shriner's Renegades in Saco, ME for many years. He was also a master carpenter working for Salter until he retired. He loved woodworking and going camping. He was married to Helena Boudreau Tanguay from 1948-1973, and in 1976 he married Janice Newcomb Ramsdell. Clement is survived by his wife Janice Newcomb (Ramsdell) Tanguay; his sons, Michael Tanguay of Princeton, TX, Dennis Tanguay of Tracy, CA, Gary Tanguay of Sanford, ME; daughters Roxanne Levasseur of Sanford, ME and Rachel Hambrick of Houston, TX; and step-children Jonathan Ramsdell of Nashua, NH and Jill Ramsdell Burns, of Nashua, NH; his siblings, Lionel Tanguay of Rye, NH, Regeanne Bailey of North Berwick, ME, Madeline Gravel of East Rochester, NH. He was predeceased by his son Arthur Tanguay of Lake Havasue, AZ and several brothers and sisters.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 1:00PM at the Swampscott Cemetery located at 400 Essex St, Swampscott, MA . There will also be a mass held in his memory at The Brothers of Instruction (Notre Dame) church in Alfred, ME located at _______________ on _____________. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Shriner's Children’s Hospital, Office of Development, Shriner's Hospital for Children 2900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607.
