Though I haven't connected with Donnie in quite sometime, I have great memories of him. When my Twin boys were teenagers, Donnie always spent time with them when I visited his Sister Donna in New Hampshire. He was a great person and always had a smile on his face. R.I.P. Donnie. God will take care of you now!

Don was a cousin and a good friend. I remember so much that it’s difficult to organize but I’ll try.... Guitars, singing (his milky smooth voice), golf (lefty), horseshoes (again with the lefty), hosting family parties (Jim’s barrels of lobsters), working the grill, ensuring everyone is fed, chatting by campfires well into the night about family, memories, work, projects, future plans, anything, everything. Conversation came so easily, Don was always in the moment, never in a rush, always listening, never ignoring, always a friend, never a foe, always welcoming, never shunning, always easy to be around, never difficult. Will always be missed.
Love you Don

I had the priveledge of meeting Don back in 2015. I am so grateful for his presence in my life. He always had a bright outlook on life and was ready and willing to encourage hope and optimism to those that were struggling. If there was anything he could do for you, he would do it without hesitation. One did not have to know him long to have his light be impressed upon you. I regret that I cannot make it to services being across the US at this time, but I will be there hour by hour, moment by moment. May his family continue to be blessed with the warmth of his love for each of you, which will continue in encouragement, support, and desire for you to live life to the fullest. Thank you Don. See you soon!

I have many fond memories of Don. being young and going out on the boat tubing and water skiing with him and my uncle John, Don's brother and my cousins. I always envied how close the entire Johnson family was (is). My heart is with the entire Johnson family at this time.

Don's a great guy. Always thoughtful of other people and loves his music. I had a great conversation with my cousin last year and was hoping he'd get the karaoke stuff out but it never happened :-( Now my cousin you will be able to enjoy music all day! Till we meet again.

Donny also was in my wife's and my wedding party and sang our wedding song, "Thank you." I plan to compose a dozen songs, including music and lyrics, copyright them, with hopes to capture as many memories as possible, because I do not want to forget any of the good times that we use to talk about when we got together. I will miss him so much and know that it is going to hurt for a very long time. I know many will miss Don very much.

I found some of our original musical recordings Don and I worked on many years ago, including one of Donny's favorite original songs in which he wrote the chords to and I wrote the lyrics. My wife liked to listen to him sing, telling me that she liked his voice. I never knew anyone who didn't like D.J., and everybody always had something good to say about him. From waterskiing with his bare feet, chasing a moose on foot by Shaw Pond, both enjoying an exciting summer at the Ciderpress, and sitting on top of Couple Crown Mountain looking down at all the surrounding lakes and ponds from miles around, we shared many good times and stories. Don had many talents, helped so many people, shared what he had, and put his heart into everything he did. Many prayers are being said for him, and please remember him in yours, as he will pray for you from heaven.
