

Edna Evelyn Colburn, 95, of Nashua, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on Monday, March 6, 2023. Born in Nashua on April 17, 1927, she was the beloved daughter of the late John H. and Agnes (Gardner) Nute.
Evelyn was a lifelong resident Nashua and graduated from Nashua High School. She was a parishioner of the Main Street United Methodist Church where she volunteered during the Ham and Bean suppers, taught Sunday school and was a part of the Education Committee. She was also a member of the Good Sam Club and leader of the Girl Scouts. She loved to go square dancing and was a member of the Border City Squares, travel across country in an RV with her husband Edward, and spending time with her family. Evelyn was a beloved Wife, Grandmother, great Grandmother, and will be remembered for her smile and blue eyes.
She is survived by her sons Bruce Colburn and Jon Colburn; daughters Joan Colburn, Diana Yount, and Sharon Anderson and her husband Ronald; 8 grandchildren; and many loving great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Edward William Colburn; brothers Alan Nute, Rowe Kimball; sisters Alice Nute, Marion Fancy, and Althea Constantine.
A Burial will be held on Thursday, May 4 at 11am at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery located at 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen, NH. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 5 at 2pm at the Main Street United Methodist Church located at 154 Main Street Nashua, NH.
